Who We Are
The Office of Space Management (OSM) is a team dedicated to supporting Oregon State University’s mission by providing leadership, data, and strategies for managing campus space effectively. We collaborate closely with academic, research, and administrative partners to ensure that OSU’s physical spaces are used efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with institutional goals.
The Office of Space Management works to ensure that every room, office, lab, and learning environment is thoughtfully accounted for and utilized to its fullest potential. Through space allocation processes, accurate floorplans, and a reliable inventory of university space, we provide the foundation for smart decisions about growth, renovation, and daily operations. By combining accurate data with collaborative planning, we help OSU use its physical spaces to support teaching, research, and engagement—today and into the future.
Service First
At the core of our work is a commitment to service. We believe that space management is not just about data or buildings—it’s about helping people solve problems and achieve their goals. As we relaunch the Office of Space Management in 2024–25, we are centering our approach on being helpful, creative partners for our colleagues across the university. Our team works to find solutions that respect both individual unit needs and the broader priorities of the institution. While we adhere to clear principles and policies designed to ensure fairness, consistency, and accountability, we are equally focused on listening, collaborating, and offering innovative ideas to help OSU make the most of its spaces. Service comes first—every request, every project, every time.
